KEEP UP WITH US

What does it mean to draw on life in order to explore the world around you? Electronic noise, multitasking, and ever-doing is a familiar experience to most of us. Constantly in motion, it can be easy to fall prey to the whims of what about this and what about that—the shinny penny distractions that can keep one from reflecting on the more permanent and quiet aspects of life. To really draw from life you have to take time to collect a series of observations. You need to analyze and compare in order to notice the patterns they form. To reflect requires the opposite of motion. We must allow stillness and quietude to takeover. This is the place—the place of observation—from which we are creating our work this season. Take time to notice and take note of what lies just below the ever changing surface.
